It’s been five years since the engine transplant in the Corolla and it’s still a work in progress. If I had been told back in 2003 that I would still be perfecting (and spending money on) the car now, I would not have believed it. Not everything has been essential – some things, the gauges, MR2 seats, Momo steering wheel and water injection have been personal preference. Others have been essential especially the brake and suspension upgrades.
